Biodiesel and vegetable oil are the wave of the future when it comes to fueling internal combustion diesel engines.
There are still several issues to be worked out. Perhaps the biggest issue is widespread availability and acceptance, since at this point, biodieselers are a "fringe" population. Yet another issue is the fact that biodiesel can gel at temperatures below 40 F -- your engine won't work until the fuel is liquefied. SVO and WVO alone will gel at an even higher temperature. At this point, no one has developed an additive to prevent this issue.
